Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît

As part of the Festival Saint-Lazare au Galop, volunteers from the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît will be at the equestrian park during the main performance of the Knights of Valour to collect festival-goers’ donations. The Foundation wishes to donate one million dollars to the Hôpital du Suroît every year to improve the accessibility, quality and continuity of health services provided.

Centre équestre thérapeutique Marie-Laurence

The Centre took part in the first year of the Festival Saint-Lazare au Galop, collecting close to $2,000, which was used for the most part to feed the therapy horses. Centre volunteers will be back in 2016. As in 2015, all funds collected in the Festival’s public parking areas managed by the Town will be awarded to this organization. The primary mission of the Centre is to improve the quality of life of children with physical or intellectual handicaps or learning difficulties by offering them horse riding lessons adapted to their needs. A specific training program is developed for each child.
